Sweaty Wu Song
Sweaty Wu Song is inspired by a dream perfumer Fang Fang had. She dreamt of the character Wu Song from the Water Margins Legend. The legend has it that Wu Song was an extremely strong man who fought bare hand against a tiger and ultimately came out as the victor of the fight.
In Fang Fang’s dream, Wu Song’s sister-in-law, Pan Jin Lian, tasted his sweat after his victory against the tiger, and said that it tasted sweet and savory with a tinge of rice wine soup. It is said that the taste is similar to a salty sweet that’s eaten during hikes.
Based on her dream, Fang Fang came up with a scent of makauy pepper as the top note accompanied by lemon, frankincense, frangipani, cedarwood, rock rose to depict the sensual and lusty scent of sweat from this oriental mythology.
